BURSTON GARDEN CENTRE
UI/UX, Front-end development (HTML, CSS)
2016
Website

Burston required a website overhaul; a responsive re-build, optimisation of key landing pages and a brand new Events section with faceted navigation.

Analytics provided insight into visits and bounce rates. Working in conjunction with the Digital Maketing team, we were quickly able to identify improvements for the home page while Burston expressed a desire to drive more visitors to their Restaurant.

We noted a huge increase in mobile users so opted to rebuild the website in Bootstrap to ensure a great user experience across multiple devices.
Homepage visits increased by 5,000 while the overall bounce rate decreased by 20%. We saw an increase in the number of users clicking through to the Restaurant and Events pages via the updated 'featured' content section. Each 'feature' included a unique icon, relevant heading, updated copy and a call to action button designed to entice visitors to see more.

The newly designed Restaurant page saw a 137% increase in page views, 140% increase in average time spent on page and a 72% decrease in bounce rate.
